iOS doesn't let apps open themselves when you plug in. In Tend, tap Set up automations on the Battery screen. It creates two Shortcuts personal automations: one runs when your iPhone connects to power, the other when the battery reaches your target, so Tend tells you at the exact level even when it's closed.

No app can switch off an iPhone's charging; iOS doesn't allow it. You can turn on Apple's charge limit in Settings › Battery › Charging, let Tend switch off a HomeKit or Matter smart plug at your target, or unplug when Tend's alert arrives.

On Tend's Charging screen, tap Use a smart plug and pick the plug your charger is connected to. Tend asks for Home access only at this point. When you reach your target, Tend switches the plug off, and the notification has a button to do it too.

iOS doesn't give widgets the battery level, so Tend's widgets show the latest reading the app shared. Opening Tend, or setting up the plug-in automation, keeps it current.

iOS doesn't share battery health or cycle count with apps. Find them in Settings › Battery › Battery Health. On a Mac, Tend reads them directly from the battery.

Tend shows two columns when the Duo is open and one when it's closed, and keeps your place as you fold and unfold. When you're on battery with the Duo open, it suggests folding to save power.

Open Tend's Settings and choose Delete all Tend data. Your data never leaves your device, so this removes it completely.
